I have a 2.0TDI 170BHP quattro 2008 with a 6 speed manual. The reason I start considering to change the oil is because when the car is cold the 1st gear is a bit stiff. Thisis from ZF. "The only approved oil is the Castrol/Burmah SAF-AG4 and the Sturaco FM 1992 KS additive is used for the center torsen diff. Oil with Sturaco additive is Audi/VW Part# G 055145 A2." The oil is 75W-90 and I believe any good quality GL5 gear oil would be fine for the front/rear diff.
